Sidan hundreårsskiftet har Yosef Wolde-Mariam rappa jorda rundt saman med Tshawe Baqwa i Madcon. Han har knust og oppfylt draumar som mentor på The Voice. Og han har vist fram skodespelarferdigheitene i komiserien «Kongen av Gulset».
– Livet er noko som skjer. Og så må ein velje å vere til stades, og ta dei moglegheitene ein får.
Nå har han igjen tatt i mot det livet har å by på.
Søken etter identitet
På fredag var det premiere på den stjernespekka dramakomedien Flus. Ein serie han har skapt saman med manusskribent og regissør Mikael Samuelsen.
– Flus er inspirert av ei tid eg har vakse opp i. Det er ei epokeforteljing frå Oslo, lagt til seint talet, fortel han.
Den handlar om tre vennar som på kvar sin måte fell utanfor.
– I all hovudsak handlar det om å vere på søken etter ein identitet, fortset Yosef.
Likevel skil denne serien seg frå andre oppvekstseriar.

Yosef Wolde-Mariam er aller mest kjent som den ene halvdelen av rap-duoen Madcon, men har de siste årene også gjort seg bemerket som programleder og en habil mentor i talentprogrammet The Voice.
Med Madcon har Yosef gitt ut seks studioalbum og flere singler, og vunnet seks Spellemannpriser, i tillegg til prisen for beste beste norske artist/gruppe under World Music Awards.
