El maestro y coreógrafo Vladimir Issaev ocupa un lugar destacado entre las figuras más admiradas y respetadas del mundo de la danza de Miami. Tres de sus proyectos han enriquecido el ambiente educacional y profesional del sur de la Florida y lo han proyectado a nivel internacional: la Vladimir Issaev School of Classical Ballet y el Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida (ABTF) -que celebran su 25 aniversario este año- y la Miami International Ballet Competition (MIBC), que acaba de realizar su quinta edición.

En la presentación del sábado 5 de marzo de ABTF en el Aventura Arts & Cultural Center -donde ofrecieron el ballet “Coppelia”- Issaev salió a proscenio acompañado de su esposa, Ruby Romero-Issaev, directora ejecutiva de la compañía, para dirigirse a los presentes y pedir un minuto de silencio por el pueblo de Ucrania.
Issaev nació en en Biysk, región de Altai (Siberia) pero durante 10 años fue bailarín del ballet de la Ópera de Odesa -la famosa ciudad portuaria en el Mar Negro- y todavía tiene muchos amigos por allá.

he was admitted at the State Institute of Arts Lunacharsky G.I.T.I.S. in Moscow to complete his superior studies for Ballet Master & Choreographer under the tutelage of the great Russian Masters such as: Eugeny Rudenco and Guerman Pribilov (both direct pupils of Nicolai Tarazov) Yulii Plagt (Vaganova’s direct pupil), Rastizlav Zaharov, Larissa Trembovelskaya, Tamara Varlamova, Raiza Struchkova, Tamara Tkachenko, Boris Jojlov, Marina Kondratieva, Eugeny Valukin, and Ludmila Kolenchenko. He graduated in as Ballet Master and Master Choreographer with the highest grades and honors of the Institution. He has been Academic and Artistic Director at the Choreographic School of Frounze where he held the title of youngest director of all ballet schools in the Soviet Union territory at the time, and as a Ballet Master for the disciplines of Classical Ballet, Character Dance, Court Dances and Pas de Deux.

Prima ballerina of Miami was born in Venezuela. She began her training at the age of six in Caracas and began her professional career at the age of She danced with the Youth Ballet of Venezuela, the Contemporary Ballet of Caracas, Cleveland Ballet and as a principal with the National Ballet of Caracas, where she was coached and trained by Ballet Master Vladimir Issaev. She danced as a principal at the Miami City Ballet from to Ms. Catoya has danced extensively abroad at many festivals and galas in America, Asia, Europe and the US.
A multi awarded ballet dancer Mary Carmen have been coached and trained by remarkable artists such as Jose Pares, Vicente Nebrada, Vladimir Issaev, Rafael Portillo, Zane Wilson Karelia Moreno, Elena Madan Vera at the Ballet Nacional de Caracas, Dennis Nahat at Cleveland Ballet, Ileana Lopez, Violette Verdy, Jean Pierre Frohlich, Maria Cagliari, Mary Ashley and Edward Villella at Miami City Ballet. Her latest performances include, Poland, Mexico, Peru, Cuba and Indonesia next to her ballet master Vladimir Issaev.
