Muhammad Sadiq, sometimes spelled as Sadeeq, Saddiq or Siddiq and Mohammad, is a noted Punjabi singer, actor and politician from Punjab, India.
Background
Sadiq was born in in a non-practicing Punjabi Muslim family, to father Maghar and mother Parsinni Devi, in the village of Rampur (now Ludhiana district) in British Punjab.
Career
He is best known for his duets with singer Ranjit Kaur. He is currently the Congress party Modern Language Association from Bhadaur in Punjab. According to him he belongs to Doom caste (a Marasi sub-caste).
In , during the riots, his family had a hard time and left the village and settled at Malerkotla.
He has sung with many female singers of Punjab including Surinder Kaur, Narinder Biba, Rajinder Rajan, Swaran Lata & many others but make a duo with Ranjit Kaur. Mostly of his songs been written by famous Punjabi folk lyricist Babu Singh Maan.
He recorded mostly his songs & live performances with Ranjit Kaur for approximately 40 years. They were one of most famous singing couple of Punjab in the s and 80s.

Muhammad Sadiq was born in a Muslim family in the year , to mother Parsinni and father Ustad Vilayat Khan, in the village of Rampur in the Indian state of Punjab, during the British rule in India. His uncle was actually a folk singer who indeed inspired him a lot. In the year , when India gained independence, there was a riot that broke out in Punjab, his family had a hard time and left the village and settled at Malerkotla. He has sung with many female singers of Punjab including Surinder Kaur but make a duo with Ranjit Kaur.
