Οι συγκεκριμένες δηλώσεις του τραγουδιστή, σχολιάστηκαν ποικιλοτρόπως από διάφορες τηλεοπτικές εκπομπές και πρόσωπα. Το μεσημέρι της 18ης Μαρτίου, ο Χάρης Βαρθακούρης θέλησε ωστόσο να ξεκαθαρίσει σε ανάρτησή του στα μέσα κοινωνικής δικτύωσης, πως αδιαφορεί πλήρως με όσα ακούστηκαν.
Πιο συγκεκριμένα, ο τραγουδιστής δημοσίευσε στο προσωπικό του προφίλ στο Instagram, ένα βίντεο από παλαιότερη συνέντευξη που είχε παραχωρήσει στην εκπομπή «Στούντιο 4» και απαντούσε στον τρόπο με τον οποίο αντιμετωπίζει τα αρνητικά σχόλια. «Αδιαφορώ.
