Gene Tierney was a popular theater and film actress. She was known for her beauty and talent, and she won numerous awards, including an Oscar. Tierney was born on November 19, , in Brooklyn, New York, to Howard and Belle Tierney. Her father, originally from Ireland, worked in the insurance industry, while her mother was a former fitness instructor.
Tierney attended St. Margaret's School and later Unquowa School in the United States. As a student, she excelled in writing poetry, which was published in school publications and well-received.
