Recent operatic engagements include Figaro (Il barbiere di Siviglia) for his San Francisco Opera debut () and at Deutsche Oper Berlin, title role in Wozzeck at Oper Frankfurt and the Norwegian National Opera in Oslo, Marcello (La bohème) at the Royal Opera House in London, San Francisco Opera and Royal Danish Opera in Copenhagen, his Paris Opera debut as Fieramosca (Benvenuto Cellini, ), Alfio/Tonio (I pagliacci & Cavalleria rusticana) at Opera Graz; Albert (Werther) at Opernhaus Zürich and ROH London (debut ), title role Eugene Onegin at the Royal Danish Opera, Opéra de Lille, the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow and English National Opera in London, and Olivier (Capriccio) for his Lyric Opera of Chicago debut ().
